Cluny
Cluny and his brothers were found in a cage and sent to a kill shelter in S.Korea. They were in the euthanasia list until AKR saved them on October 30, 2020.
Monkey
Monkey was found laying on the side of the road. His skin and fur needed lots of care, and his foster did just that to get him ready for adoption.
Freya
Freya was rescued from a kill shelter in South Korea. Last November, she got her freedom flight to her forever home in Vancouver Island.
Yuna
Yuna was on the euthanasia list at a kill shelter in Korea with her siblings. Rescued after surviving an outbreak of parvovirus, AKR helped her get the treatment she needed to chart a better course in life.
Kobe
Kobe was found wandering the streets of Korea and taken to a kill shelter. Someone rescued him and put him in a kennel instead. And so, his journey to Canada began!
Bomi
Bomi had a hard life for such a young dog. Bomi was found chained with 4 puppies, and no food or water. AKR brought all of them to our care.
Nala
Nala had been left on the street with a “take me” sign. She waited for her owner, but no one came until she was rescued by AKR.
Ruby
Ruby was raised to be sold to Korea’s dog meat market. Luckily, two kind-hearted passersby rescued her from her situation.
Annie
Annie was found on the streets of Incheon city with three puppies. They were all taken in by a city shelter and put on a list for euthanasia before Adopt Korean Rescue saved them.
Minnow
Minnow was rescued from a factory with her siblings and a litter of puppies after their owner had passed away. She spent some time in a shelter, and then with her amazing foster family for a couple months before coming to Canada.
Nellie
Nellie was rescued from a meat farm in South Korea. Brenda, her adopter, has been doing dog rescue for years as she finds it very rewarding.
Gongju
Gongju was found on the streets of South Korea 6 years ago. She was very lucky to have people who looked out for her during that time.
