Volunteer
We Can't Do It Without You!
The success of Adopt Korean Rescue’s work is owed to the strength of our volunteers. AKR is comprised of a diverse group of individuals with different skills and backgrounds, each with something valuable to offer.
Because AKR does not have a physical shelter in Canada, most of our volunteer positions are either promotional, administrative, or technical-based, except for fostering of course! We are always looking for new volunteers to help and there is always something to do! If you have a specific area of interest or knowledge, let us know and we can help find you the right fit.
What Opportunities Are Available?
- Foster: Become a foster paw-rent and help a dog get ready for their fur-ever family
- Happy Tails Coordinator: Help onboard and stay connected with AKR adopters and fosters to receive updates on their dogs to maintain a happy community
- Airport Ambassador: Meet and greet newcomer dogs and adopters/fosters at the airport
- Flight Angel: Help us transport dogs from Korea to their new homes
- Other opportunities may be available. Please fill out the Volunteer Application and share with us a bit about yourself and your skillset or areas of interest.
Who Can Volunteer?
Anyone* can volunteer! We value diversity and encourage volunteers from all sections of the community.
*Minors require a legal guardian’s authorization
