Adopt Me Korean Rescue (AKR) is a 100% volunteer-based not-for-profit organization. We rely on your generosity to continue to support our rescue dogs. Any amount you can donate will make a difference in the lives of our rescue dogs. Even if you can only contribute $5 or $10, it will still go a long way toward helping our cause!
Adopt Korean Rescue (AKR) is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada
Every life deserves to be saved, regardless of its geographical location. Each year, over 1 million dogs are slaughtered in South Korea’s dog meat trade.
Many of the dogs we rescue are Jindo mixes, Spitz mixes, Korean Village Dogs, and many other breeds as well. All dogs can become victims of the dog meat trade, abuse and euthanasia.
Shelter dogs in Korea face stigma, making it hard to find local adoptive homes and leaving them vulnerable to euthanasia or the dog meat trade. International adoption programs have given hope to Korean dog rescuers!
Adoptable dogs are updated continuously. Stop by frequently to meet your paw-fect match!
